Born in Takengon in Central Aceh, Indonesia, Dian Alyan has lived a richly rewarding life as a brilliant student, world traveler and highly successful executive at Procter & Gamble. After tragically losing 40 relatives in the deadly Asia tsunami of 2004, she founded GiveLight Foundation to provide a loving home and long term education for the children left orphaned by the disaster. Beginning with one home in Indonesia, Dian envisioned GiveLight as a global institution helping children in all corners of the world.
Dian loves to read and travel. She’s fortunate to have visited 47 US states and four continents. She enjoys cooking, connecting with people, and learning world languages. She speaks French, Arabic, Indonesian/Malay and English.
