Our Projects
Our work is driven by one word and that word is love - love for our merciful Creator and for the most vulnerable of His creation, the orphans. Our mission is to build beautiful homes and futures for them, focusing on areas that are affected by natural disaster, poverty and war. We began with one home in Aceh, Indonesia supporting 50 orphans and now we are in 11 countries impacting/building the lives of almost 1000 children.

Your contribution will enable us to provide the best education, a loving family and a place where children can grow with a strong sense of identity and belonging. Even a little bit goes a long way: $50 pays for a month of school, $100 provides a special dinner for the entire home, $360 sponsors a child's meal for the whole year. All proceeds go to the initiative of your choosing.

A vision to rebuild a future emerged just a few weeks after the December 26, 2004 Asia Tsunami. Our first orphanage in Aceh, Indonesia became a reality only a year later and we have been expanding ever since reaching out to countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Haiti, Sri Lanka and more. Join us in our efforts to give light to as many children around the globe as possible.
MIT, Mentorship and a Wedding
One of the greatest blessings of our work is when our supporters decide to embrace our cause in such personal ways. We have received donations from sources we did not expect and people we have never met. Many birthday parties , birth celebrations, graduation and weddings were held to benefit our children. Often times we see Facebook campaign for birthdays dedicated to our cause. And of course we love to see these stories of generosity.

On a pleasant day on Nov 5th 2018, the amazing community of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) got together to kick off GiveLight’s Toronto chapter.
Friendship with a Purpose
Meet our dear friend Roohe Ahmed. A nutritionist by profession, and an avid activist for many worthy causes by passion. She has been instrumental in planning and executing many of our events in Southern California. From helping bring Roohina Malik and Jeremy McLelland for solo performances and most recently leading our team to creating an unforgettable seven course dinner.
On Top of The World
Sometimes it takes getting out of routine to really appreciate all the blessings in one's life. Jamal Turfe did just that as he embarked on a journey of a lifetime to our home in Aceh, a journey that has forever changed him.
