Matthew Mengerink at Claremont Lincoln on Ethical Leadership

matthew-mengerinkOne of our founding member and long-time volunteer Matthew Mengerink was the inaugural speaker at Claremont’s “The Gathering” event on April 12, 2013. He was interviewed about his ethical commitments and leadership. Matthew shared word about his involvement with GiveLight. Watch Matthew’s interview from the event here. Matthew Mengerink is the Chief Technology Officer for eBay’s X.commerce and Magento divisions. Matthew focuses his efforts on accelerating X.commerce’s vision by continuing to develop Magento’s product by heading engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and product management teams, among others.

Prior to his current role, Matthew spent eight years at PayPal, where he led their architecture, infrastructure, payments development, core technologies, international development, site operations, customer quality and engineering services teams. Before joining PayPal, Matthew was director of special projects at eBay and director of development for eBay-owned Half.com.

Before starting his eBay Inc. journey, Matthew held a variety of roles at search service, product catalog and review site DejaNews/Deja.com until the company was split and acquired by eBay and Google in 2000.
